I have been a wife of a SRNA for almost 8 months now.
But I’m not the only one.
When hubs and I found out we were moving to a new city and state for his CRNA school, I didn’t realize how important it would be to meet the significant others of his classmates. Also, I didn’t realize how much he would be gone, either studying or on clinical rotations. I don’t mind hanging out by myself, but life is better with good company.
I am so thankful to have met these girls from the get go. We can understand what one another goes through. Our husbands or boyfriends are studying all the time, are out of town for clinical rotations for days at a time, and they speak in “anesthesia” terms.
Recently, our “wives club” has been hanging out on a weekly basis. It has been refreshing meeting up with them and bonding over hiking or swimming or fruit-pickin’. I love my husband, but it is nice to have some girl time, too!
I’ve always said that us being here is totally a God thing and I know God puts people in our lives for a reason. I am full of joy for what He is doing in my life. He has surrounded us with wonderful people. We can only hope that our friendship grows beyond this season.
